Have you sent a NMRPA website/blog link?

Ranger WoodsI’m  happy to see that we’ve been blogging.  There has been quite a few comments sent and I appreciate the nice comments about the website.  If  someone could send me a date and location for the next board meeting, I’ll get it up on the site.  Alex and I met last week and have already seen an increase of online membership.   Most have been new memberships along with corporate memberships.

I would encourgage you to email the NMRPA website link to your fellow employees to get them on board.  With a little effort, we’ll be 21st century Parks and Rec folks in the U.S.    Keep up blogging.  P.S.  Here’s a great photo of Sarah Woods from State Parks.

Blog Me.

Chavez Center Camp Supervisors, Angel and Liza There has been talk for some time now about creating a web presence for NMRPA and I want to thank the Board of Directors for moving forward on the web site. As we work through the process, I think it will continue to grow as a useful tool for the membership of NMRPA.

I look forward to your communication about what great things are going on in your neck of the woods. “Let the world hear about your new programs, new parks and new playground.”

As we grow the blog, we will be creating categories such as events, job opportunities, workshop and educational opportunities, branch talk and helpful vendors. As your webmaster, I will be monitoring your comments and adding information to the web site. The biggest advantage to a blog is that it becomes a live journal of what is happening in NM. The website will tell the NMRPA story in a more static format which will not change too much except in the NMRPA Message Board. So, here’s your chance to blog. At the top of the page you’ll see a “cartoon balloon” with the word, “comments”, next to it. Click on “comments”. Go ahead, blog me.
